Font not showing up

I can't seem to select a font in Indesign. Its won't show up in the font list. Same problem when i opened illustrator but the font is available fine when i try Word and TextEdit. I am using Suitcase X1 on 10.4 and the font is activated and shows up in the preview window. Why won't CS2 recognise it. Does anyone know a fix?

...when you manually activate a font in Extensis Suitcase most, but not all, Mac OS applications dynamically refresh their font menus...

Adobefnt.lst files are cache files that Adobe applications use to get information about the locations and types of available fonts. If Adobefnt.lst files are damaged, they can cause font-related problems. If you delete Adobefnt.lst files, they are re-created the next time you start an Adobe application...

...there are a few ways to remove these cache files for rebuilding, one is the manual way by using mac's find function:

1. Quit the Adobe applications.

2. Choose File > Find from the desktop, type Adobefnt in the field and then press return.

3. Select the file/s, and choose File > Move to Trash (apple/command + backspace delete).

4. Repeat steps 2-3 for the files Adobefnt05.lst and Adobefnt06.lst.

5. Restart the Adobe application.

...or ditch suitcase altogether and use linotype fontexplorer, which is what I have used since i got tired of suitcase, this is a free font manager and very good at it too, tools are available to clean your system fonts and cache files safely via the tools menu:
