font not found cannot inbed

Each year we use the same template to create our annual report. this year when I convert my file into pdf format i get the message that "time bold" and "Halvetica" fonts could not be found and a substitute font will be used. I have not used either of these fonts in my document and last year I never got this message. I have tried a global search and replace to see about replacing the font with times new roman and it always tells me that no substitutions were made. I have also gone story by story manual checking to see if maybe a wrong font was accidently used.

Any suggestions On how to find and replace these fonts. I want to straigheten this out before i send the file to the printer.

It sounds like one or more of your "styles" in the document is set to these fonts. This happens frequently if you copy and paste the text from a Word document or such. Go through all of your styles and delete any that refer to those fonts.

If you have already converted to PDF, open the PDF doc and proofread it thoroughly. If it looks okay, it is okay and you should be safe to send it to your printer, they should have no problems with that. When in doubt, deny all terms and defnitions.

I agree. I have a feeling the fonts are comming from some of the graphs I have brought in from another program. I have managed to track down one of the fonts so far. Unfortunately sometimes I get sections to the report from other people and the font sneeks in.

I will however check the pdf file to see what it looks like and make sure that just in case I can't manage to track it down it is ok.
