font issue - bold

I am a fairly new user of QX (ver6.0) and am in the process of laying out a simple, mainly txt document. I am using the font Gill sans (activated using ATM). I wish to have a bold heading yet when i bring up the fly out menu there is no 'Gill sans bold' option (does show other options e.g extra condensed, shadow etc). I remember being told never to use the 'bold button' font function but am not sure why i can't see the bold font option in the flyout. Job is to be printed offset....any thoughts.

I am on a really tight timeline, any quick responses are much appreciated.

You can use it if you know you have the bold (printer) font
eg if you have GillSans, GillSans Bold, GillSans Italic. then you can use the bold and italic in the menu bar.

If you are worried you don't have it then make a PDF print the page out,
if the bold and italic come out then you have them, if you don't have those fonts then the bolded words will becuse roman.
