I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this topic, but I figured: I'll give it a go.
I have a RedHat 8.0 webserver with Apache, PHP an MySQL.
I have a Windows XP Pro machine with IE6.
On the RedHat machine, I have a webpage, that uses the default font 'Verdana' that Most Windows machines have installed.
For those people that do NOT have the Verdana font (Including Linux users), I'd like to use font-embedding. I found some info on Microsoft.com, and all is explained. All that's discussed there is how to use it on Windows Servers/Clients, but not if Linux Servers support it, or the workstations.. But the articles were almost 2 years old... So I'm wondering, is there any news regarding font-embedding?
Do Konqueror or Mozilla Support font-embedding?
Does Redhat Server (Apache) support font-embedding?
And how do I set things up in my server if possible?
I know I need to put the font on my server in some directory, and use <STYLE>-tags to embed the fonts.
How does this work?
Thanks al lot.
