firefox shows everything correctly...

but IE is a completely different story
left nav menu...the font size on the link items are too large

yellow section at bottom...the bulleted list is the wrong font color

THE LATEST section...where it says Read More...should be red

the bulleted list under the graphic INFODIRECT is not indenting enough...

all these show up correctly in firefox...what do i need to do to get them the same in IE?

IE 6.02 and Firefox 1.0.4 on WinXP/sp2 both look identical to me. Each item you mentioned is identical in both browsers. Nicely layed out page. One suggestion, even though you didn's ask, would be to make the left nav menu items a slightly darker grey - they're a little hard to read.

i'm also viewing it in IE 6.0.2 and have seen the same behaviour on a few different machines and OS's

i may have not been clear in the differences i'm seeing

1)on the leftnav, items such as Faculty, History, Mission, etc...should be rougly a 1/3 the size of the heading ABOUT US above it...in IE they are the same size

2)in the grey middle section where it says "Major Headline Would Go Here." at the end it says Read More>>...this should be RED and then Blue on hover...in IE it's Grey and then hovers to blue

3)the yellow section at the bottom where it says "Elementary Field Day "...this should be NAVY BLUE and then hover to RED...in IE it is GREY and then hovers to BLUE

Now THAT'S weird. The first time I opened the page side-by-side in both browsers, there were not any differences. "Read more" was red (didn't hover or click it) in both, calendar and news items were navy blue and red when hovered in both, etc.

Now when I re-open the page to re-check the results, I see what you see. In addition, on second view, in IE the entire "Activities" section and the top half of the "Admissions" section is blank. If I refresh, the links flash visible for a second and then disappear again.

I would try removing the second META tag. I'm just shooting in the dark, though.

just did...same problem...
i'm about to throw myself out the window

and if you look at the bottom of the yellow section...that white border that splits those 2 yellow sections is getting pushed over...do you know what's causing that?

Now it's back to being the same in both browsers for me. Sometimes you gotta just say "oh well" and spend your time trying to fix something easy compared to this - like world peace.
