Hi,

I am not sure if my question suits this forum, I hope someone can help me with this.

I am having problems with the font colors and how they are printed.

I have a page with a blue background (using layers). The font colors I used are white and yellow. When I select "print preview" from the "File menu" the text with color white are displayed in grey and the text with color yellow in brown!?

Anybody knows a reference where I can find which colors to use to get the correct font color (white and yellow) when printing the page out on paper? Is it possible anyway to print out in white?

This is part of a database system and this particular page is used to print out flyers for each indivudual record.

thanks,

Safra

Do you have a color printer installed? If so, do you have access to another color printer so you can see if it's your printer?

Also - how did you define your colors? I always use the (bg/fore)color=#RRGGBB, (where r is red 00-FF, g is green 00-FF, and b is blue, 00-FF) and I don't seem to have any problems with that.

Is your background a picture, ie a GIF or jpg? That could be causing problems...

Another thought, it might be the monitor is displaying colors to brightly, so brown looks yellow on screen, but the computer is really sending brown. Have you checked the page on another monitor?

And the code for bright white from my note above is #FFFFFF and bright yellow is #FFFF30.

Thanks Kevin,

I use an image in a layer for the background as I found this is the only way to get the bachground printed out!

Actually, I didn't print anything yet as I need to replace the color cartridge from my printer. The experience described above is purely based on what is shown in the browser (font colors in orange/yellow "F6C608" and white "#FFFFFF") and what is shown in the print preview selected from the browser (the font colors have turned into brown and grey) which, I quess, is representing how the final print will look like?

I quess it is not a problem with the monitor.

Any ideas?

Ron
