IE
in IE, when I set the style on a disabled field, the font-color changes to grey. is there any way to overwrite this at all?

Nope. You're left with the default color or using something like readonly="readonly" for your fields and designing the style for yourself. But bear in mind that readonly does not mean the same as disabled and that some older browsers do not properly support readonly property.

cheers, guess I'll just have to do a little extra work and have my PHP echo it back in a table instead - bummer !!

Hi to all i decided to do the opposite.. i'd like to make a css that make disabled input & select on firefox look like what make IE... i see a strange behaviour if i set a class it doesn't work... ie get the background only if i write directly in the tag.

in particular i can't get firefox do the same text effect... the text in a disabled input on IE looks like a text with a white shadow or something similar.. anybody knows how to reply this effect??

Tnx to all in advice
