Font color defalts to gold

Story editor is not for your text in the actual document. It's sort of another application within your document for making text changes and seeing what styles are applied.
If your text is Gold then you need to select the Black in the colour pallete for your text in your document to be black.
Unless of course it is the text in the actual story editor that is going gold?
