Ok a while ago I posted my website and the problem I encountered with the menu disappearing in certain sections. No one had an answer. I've discovered the cause of the problem and it's a table. When I've added to an already existing table on the page, the menu disappears from the new part that's in line with the menu. Why is this doing this now when I've never had a problem with the menu or the table on the page? The pages in question are the Archive link and the rider profile link. However when I open it up on another computer running the same browser, ie6, you don't see it,(it did do it once) so far it's only on my pc it does it.

OK, so what exactly are you trying to do here?

I've looked at the pages you referenced, and I'm not completely sure on your intent...the menu never changed between pages at all when I viewed it in either FF, or IE6. Were you trying to add to the nav menu in some pages (kinda like a tree directory) or something?

I hope this helps;

Basically the menu should have in it the following links...
Home
About Us
Bikes
Scooter Says
Tech Talk
Rider Profiles
Gallery
CashBack Australia
Archive
Contact Us
Specials
Forum
Links

Now when you got to rider profiles and click on it, the rider profiles page will open, the rider profile names are in a table and generally once the table shows, any links below rider profiles in the menu disappear alongside where the table ends.

Ok, just made an interesting discovery. If the page is smaller than full screen, it works fine. If I maximise it, then the menu disappears from the point of the bottom of the table. minimise and maximise again and the menu comes back... Is this a bug or what???

Actually, in my case, even if the window was not maximized, I had the problem in IE 6.0. Firefox 1.5 works fine in all cases that I tried.

Your side menu is floating using CSS (class smwidth - "float:left" found in your CSS file), whereas the rest of your page is positioned by natural flow in the HTML (tables, paragraphs, and such). The place where the menu gets cut off seems to be at the end of your page's content (in the Riders Profile top page, for example, it is the bottom of the W3C image). I'm wondering if it is related to the fact that the menu is floating - perhaps IE considers the page to "end" at the end of the non-floating content, and then only draws whatever fits in that area. I know the popular thing nowadays is to use CSS instead of tables for laying out the page, so somebody might flame me for proposing this, but in your case the layout is pretty simple - have you considered just using a table with the header image in the first row (colspan=2) and the menu in the first cell of the second row, and all other content in the second cell of the same row?
