follow up IPS to telco ringdown

I haven't had time to try the suggestion yet but, if the trunk is DIT'd to a station that's inbound right?? I also need outbound to the same trunk for the telco ringdown. In our 2400's I then program station as a Hot Line station to a Route and Trunk (AHLS). Do I need to do the same on the IPS? I can't find a command to build a Hot Line to a Rt. and Tk. in the 2000 programming manual.

OK, that looks like I'd be going to a speed dial or a "Brokerage Hot Line" But I need to connect to a spacific trunk for a telco ring down. ie: come off hook on the analog station or pick up a line appearance (analog station's number) on a D term and I need to close the loop on a given trunk.

If you want to be able to dial in and then sieze a specific trunk DISA may be the best bet. You could assign the trunk to it's own route and programme an access code for that route. But if you go down the path of DISA make sure you use all possible security measures.

That trunk should be in it's own route as OzzieGeorge noted.

CM 3598 needs to be set for the trunk route and 1216 for the S/L and then set your hot line programming. You can also place an appearance of the S/L on a Dterm but then you must make sure 1205 is set to a 0.
