folders not first in explorer

As the subject says, explorer will not display folders first. It displays them in alphabetical order. It’s really irritating. I tried setting folder view settings back to default but it didn’t help. Also I ran across a site telling me to remove

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MenuOrder\

To put everything back into order, but it didn’t help. Any ideas why folders won’t be displayed first?

Try right clicking in a folder -> Arrange icons by -> Type
