Hi all,
I know in the big picture this is a small gripe, but in Windows Explorer in Svr 2008 (and I'm assuming it's the same in windows 7) it shows all folder icons as "open".
In past versions, only the folder icons who's contents are displayed in the right-side pane had the "open" icon, and all other folders were the "closed" folder icon.
It is so confusing and possibly dangerous when trying to figure out what folder's contents I'm actually looking at. (Yes I know I can look in the address bar but then I might as well go back to DOS--the whole idea of the GUI was to make this more intuitive).
With the new 'aero' visual themes, I would have expected even more 'meat' as far as visualization of the folders, but it appears that MS went for a cheaper, less intuitive Windows Explorer.
Thanks for any info on this,
