Folder share

I'm still very new to Checkpoint FW, so bare with me.

The company I work for is on Checkpoint FW-1/VPN-1 NG R055. I would like to know how to (or if its possible) to open up access to open one of our shared folders to a VPN user.
His manager came to me and said that he needs access to this one particular folder thru the VPN. Right now he just has access to email.

You'll need to either modify or create a new rule for his userid or group allowing access to the server that has the file shares allowing nbdatagram, nbsession and nbname services.
For example

userid => filesvr1 nbdatagram,nbsession,nbname client_encrypt log gateways.

Will this open up all the shares for him though?

I just want to limit him to just one folder of the many folder shares strictly through VPN.

Yes, limiting his access once inside isn't part of the Firewall.
That would be done by security restriction on his Domain account, not the Firewall.
