Hi all, i'm new to Windows 2000 server.
and I have create a share folder on the server, but i cant see the folder on the workstation(W2K), so is necesary to have and Active directory to share folder?.

I create the Active Direct. but how do I add my share folder to see in the Active Directory.

or how could i see my folder without Act. Dir.
what do i need to do this.

just make sure that all are added to workstation/server that you want to share. Make sure all users the necessary permissions.

You can see you share on the server without AD. It sounds like you shared the folder already. The server and the client machines should belong to the same workgroup. After that, you should create a user account on the server. Create the same user account on the PC. Create this user account with the same exact password. then try to connect to the share.
