Folder Redirection on My Documents

I know I am missing some basic step or function here; but for the life of me, I cannot figure it out.

I am replacing a Windows 2000 Domain Controller, Active Directory, with a Windows 2003 Domain Controller, Active Directory. All FSMO roles are transferred as are all print and file services, except this Folder Redirection of My Documents for Domain Users.

I have made the necessary change to the Global Policy, but it does not seem to go into affect. Folder Redirection continues to the original server - not the new server. Can someone please shed light on what I am missing?

run the group policy modling wizard and see the value in there, then check group policy results wizzard and see what is ACTUALLY being recieved.

Also, have you check that the users have permissions to create the "My Documents" folder in the location on the new server? And also that they can access the share etc

Thanks to your posts I found and resolved the issue. I failed to set the correct permissions at the root share level.

I felt a bit stupid when I realized what I had (not) done. I guess I had been looking at it too long.
