Folder opens on its own

Hi
I have a problem with my "C:\documents and settings\user" folder popping up on the screen for no apparent reason. When it does this the only way to get rid of it is to reboot. I try closing it with the task manager and the X at the top of the folder but all it does is flash off then right back on. A few weeks ago it was doing this a lot then it stopped for almost 2 weeks. Yesterday it did it once. I don't know if it is going to do it anymore or not. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas about what is causing this problem. I can move the folder.

What are you running for an av scanner and when did you last do a virus pattern update and full system scan??

If it is not virus related this may give you a clue as to what may be happening.
