Hi all,

I have a problem with settings permissions on some folders.

What I want to do:
I've created a Folder structure.
I want my domain users to be able to go in all folders an create/modify files.
I don't want them to be able to move/delete/create/modify Folders.

I managed to doth is except that they cannot modify existing files now.

Anyone can help me?

hello All,

one month later. My head is exploding :)

So..I' ve tried a lot but i can't get it to work.
What's the situation:
I have got a 'data' folder with more then 100 subfolders.
I have 13 security groups defined in AD.
Now i need to implement acces to folders according to what security group they belong.
I also need to make sure users can't create/move/delete folders.

Current situation.
I've got inheritance from top folder. This is needed because sometimes I need to change things to all subfolders.

Users can now only access the directory's they are allowed.

On the subfolders I set permissions for the accoridng security group..they are not inherited.
On the top folder I set a deny on 'create' and 'delete' folders for domain users and let it apply to folders and subfolders only.
Hower they can still create them...
What am I missing. I thought a deny always came before an allow?

Anyone any idea?
Hope i was clear in describing the situation
