I need to setup a large number of folders on a network. How would you create a batch command or dos command to have folders such as 001-000005555. Does anyone have step by step instructions on how to do this.

Not sure that you will find anyone in here to answer this. This forum is focused on programming Visual Basic for Applications (VBA). . .

However, this might be something you could do in VBA. See thread222-583211 for starters.

what mean "setup"??? mean create folders?

from where u want to do this?

have u read up on batch files/windows scripting? r u trying to do this from inside Office app - this IS VBA forum. if so, WHAT app?

ur question lacks info that can help. plz post what u r trying 2 do, & what u hav tried so far.

if really want use VBA, may b use FileSystemObject - it makes folders.

The VBA (any application) answer is the MkDir instruction.

Hope This Helps, PH.
