I am sure this has been answered before but I can't find the answer.

I have a simple requirement to list all the files and their locations within a master folder. There can be quite a few levels of subfolder all of which must be examined. I don't need to import the contents, just get the list of names and locations. I have had a look at DTS but it is beyond me at the moment.

Many thanks

Sandy

Look into the File System Object

“I sense many useless updates in you... Useless updates lead to defragmentation... Defragmentation leads to downtime...Downtime leads to suffering..Defragmentation is the path to the darkside.. DBCC INDEXDEFRAG and DBCC DBREINDEX are the force...May the force be with you" --

Thanks SQLDenis,
THat's given me an idea for something else I have to do. I was hoping to create something I could run everynight to update (drop and recreate) a table in a database. THis seems to be something which works in ASP or VB?

ActiveX script in DTS or VB or whatever can use this (It's a COM Object)
