Hey there. I have done a clean install of XP Pro. I have restored my documents & settings from a backup. Now shortcuts, folders and files on the old desktop (and in my documents) cannot be accessed, deleted or renamed. The previous account was an administrator and the new account is an administrator as well with the same network logon password and username. The only difference is my system files are on "D" drive rather than "C"... could this be the problem? Is deleting the files from the console the only option?

Thanks,
Wayne

Ah yes, the mysterious ownership tab... thanks it was nice to have an easy fix...!
