I have a dialog box with an ID of zero. The different winfocus commands don't seem to work with the window ID of zero. I alerted the $ACTIVEWIN and i got some 6 digit number for my dialog box. How can I get my dialog box to have focus?

Use the command:

dlgwin 0 intvar

This will place the window ID for dialog 0 (your current dialog) into the integer variable intvar. You would then use this:

winactivate intvar

to bring Procomm to the foreground with your dialog having focus.
