Focus Multimedia Ltd Teach Yourself Word97 CD

Has anyone used this CD before? I have the Word and Excel discs. Excel works absolutley fine, but when I try to do what the Word one tells me to do I get the following error:

Wings caused a GPF in module user.exe

Has anyone had this error at all?
