BCM 450, R6. A medical facility has put out a memo and wants this to happen. Call into AA, dial 309. They want 309 to ring 4 times, FNA to another phone to ring 4 times, then if not answered, go into a voicemail box. I cannot do hunt groups because they do not want to change DN 309. I set 309 to FNA and HUNT to new x333. I set 333 to HUNT and FNA to voicemail. When 309 is called, after the 4th ring, it still flashes on 309, rings twice on 333 and then I get a message saying 'the person you are trying to reach is unavailable'. Is there a way to do this? Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure what the HUNT term is - sounds like CS1000!

The setup you have should work but it could be that you need to extend your DRT (delay ring transfer) in System Settings. With the config you describe the call would ultimately end up in MBOX 309.

This indicates 6 rings which indeed might be the DRT is at 6.
It also suggests that it is trying to go to mailbox 309 but that mailbox does not exist?.

The call will always go back to the originating DN's mailbox by design, 309.

Check the "Transfer Callback Timeout" This can be found in Telephony>Global Settings>Feature Settings, the same location as the "Delayed ring transfer" I don't think DRT will be applicable as the call has effectively been answered.

I usually switch off DRT as it can be a pain in the rear, I would set the AA to transfer as you have, then FNA as you have, what it sounds like to me is that the call returns to the AA as the Transfer callback is applicable to the transferred call.

If you want the call to land in 309's mailbox, you can set 333 as an alternate extension in the mailbox settings, but 333 will not be able to have their own mailbox as each DN can only be associated to one mailbox.

An alternative way would be to use a Hunt Group, plonk 309 and 333 into a sequential group, overflow it after 15 secs to voicemail, and set the HG DN as a alternate extension in 309's mailbox, the call will fwd to voicemail and land in 309's mailbox, this way 309 gets to keep their internal number, only calls sent to the hunt group will hunt, and the call ends up in the right place? 15 secs might only be about 6-7 rings in total though, and the next timer choice is 30 secs!

Thanks Dave.
