FM server v3 and clients at version 6 - problems ?

We have an old database running on Filemaker server version 3.0 and using clients that are at version 4. It's a legacy database but we have to maintain it.

Now we have a new Filemaker application coming in that requires client version 5 or better to work.

Does anyone know if there are known compatibility/scripting problems that may surface if we upgrade all our clients to Filemaker 6 (latest version) and leave the server running version 3.0, or will we have to upgrade our server as well ?

You will have to upgrade your server as well. If you open a file that is FMP 3.0 on a FMP 6.0 client, it will prompt you to upgrade the file before opening. There is no way to get around it.
