At least that's what I remember. I've just fresh installed WinXP and reinstalled NAV. (Had some trouble with the AutoProtect refusing to stay on and the red Error in the Email part of NAV config window - fixed by doing an uninstall using Norton's Rnav2003.exe uninstall and yet another reinstall.) Now everything looks hunky-dorey except that the old reassuring animated envelope email scanning-in-progress taskbar icon that used to pop up is no longer popping up - so now I'm not being reassured!

Any ideas? I couldn't find anything at Symantic support.

Is the option to show mail icon in system tray enabled?

Well, now it shows. I did have show icon preference set.

Just another unknown glitch I guess.
