I purchased a Fluke TS 44 test set and am having problems with it. My intentions are to use it more or less as a standard butt set. This set lulls me into a state of
confidence only to fail on me when I need it most. Yesterday is a case in point. Simple job of splitting out a fax and CC line at a local business. TS 44 returns dial tone from fax line, but gives me the digital tone frm input to the CC machine. My thought process was that the CC was the a DSL line and not the same number as the fax. Got a single line telephone off of truck and it returned normal dial tone on inputs to fax and CC. Same number! Replaced battery in TS 44 and had same problem.
I am at a loss. Do not want to throw the TS 44 away, but as you all know, a tool that works only 99% really needs to be thrown in the lake.
Can not think of a better place to ask if anyone else out there has expierenced issues with the Fluke TS44 than this forum.
Thanks in advance for any input.
