Hi,

We have compatability issues with floppy support on SCO Unixware 7.1.1. (system is a Plumas chipset based P4 Xeon)

The problem encountered is that floppy support is lost during OS installation ... we require the floppy to add the correct SCSI drivers. From this point we are unsure on how to proceed.

We tried a network installation however the network drivers on our system are also not inherently supported by the SCO loader (and therefore we require a floppy to set this up to connect!!!)

The question we have is as follows:

* can we create an install CD containing the normal SCO Unix kit and the required 3rd party drivers? if so can anyone suggest how???

Any help or further tips on floppyless installation would be appreciated.

Thanks....

I have the same problem, Intel Server Board SC7500SW2 / Intel Xeon 2.0 Ghz / 1 Gbyte RAM, Unixware 7.1.1.

Did you find something??

If i find any info i´ll let you know.

This problem happens when you try to install Unixware 7.1 on CPU´s faster than 1 Gb. To solve it there is a patch you can download from sco web page support and then create a new floppy from which you can load HBA normally. I´ve tried and it works.

The patch is: ptf7619d. Basically you must download an image file from the ftp site and create a floppy from it.

Regards.
