I'm trying to play around with the fdformat command, but I can't get to the floppy disk for anything. All I get is this: WARNING: /pci@0,0/pci-ide@1f,1/ide@1/sd@0,0 (sd0):
i/o to invalid geometry

What the heck does that mean? I formatted the floppy on a Winnt box, and the Solaris box is Intel. I've tried several floppies with the same results.

Any ideas?

Thanks! Mike

I'm pretty sure it's the correct device. The first time I attempt this command, the floppy light comes on and I can hear the drive spin. But every time after that, I get no action at all from the drive... just the error message. Mike
