I have a new w2k machine - on a restart while loading Linksys Admin software, I got a Boot Disk Failure. Ran through all the steps - no luck. After the machine sat for about 30 minutes it booted up normally. However, when I try to get a right-click menu in Windows Explorer the machine attempts to find a floppy first - I cancel the window and am then given the right-click menu.
The following week, I got a Stop Error and the Boot Disk Failure again on a restart following a CD writer install. I eventually got the machine up in safe mode and uninstalled the cd burner, after which it came up normally. Now when I want to right click in Windows Explorer I get the floppy error twice before I get the menu.
Any suggestions?
