Howdy,

I just bought a new Epox motherboard, and found that the new floppy cable they sent with the motherboard looks different then the cables I've seen in the past.

On the old cables, there was one pin blocked out. On this new cable, no pins are blocked out. Normally I'd just accept it and move on, however a floppy drive that I have that works in my old machine won't spin up in the new computer.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Kevin

The blocked pin was an alignment help. Very hard to insert it wrong without bending something.
Sounds like something is plugged wrong, but you might want to activate seek on boot and see if the drive is selected.
You can also use your plugged hole cable temporarily to identify whether you have a bad new cable.
