Floppy Drive Problem 2

I am running Win2KPro on an AMD Athlon XP machine. A couple of days back, my floppy drive stopped reading my floppies. Any floppy I put it, I get the message "Floppy in Drive A is not Formatted. Format Now?" And when I try to format, it always ends in "Unable to Complete Format". I tried running Win2K in the repair mode but no luck. Has my floppy drive gone bad?

Yes it does sound like a problem with the drive. I've had that happen to me before. Replaced the drive and all was OK.

Another thing you should check, although it's a long shot, is your bios setup. Make sure your floppy drive is set as a 1.44Mg drive and not some other size.
