I'm looking for suggestions for a floppy controller card. Am currently working with a system in which the controller has gone bad and the motherboard is not available from the manufacturer/or an option for replacement at this time. We got a Fancard Combo (Mj), but it doesn't work and I'm not impressed with the technical support on it. Would prefer a PCI card, but do have an ISA slot available.
Thanks,
Heather

You complicate your life with PCI.
Should be able to find an ISA card from sellers on the web. You might have to try an IDE/floppy controller card with the IDE disabled.

I've been searching, but not much luck...I know they are there, but haven't come across one...any brands you might suggest?

if you have usb you can get a usb floppy drive for around $30 or less these days.
And if you dont have usb but your os will support usb then you can get a pci usb card for under $10.

forgot to add this.

And, if you go the usb route, then you will open your system up to other usb devices that you might want, like another hard drive for storage (usb).

Don't want USB...this has to be internal...but thanks...

Good choice. I'll look. And where are you? General geographic area. We don't share personal info in the threads but general area isn't specific enough to find you.
