Floating Aloha on WS4's

Does anyone know how this can be done. Our local Positouch dealer is telling me he can float on existing WS4's. I have an extensive background working with Aloha in other restaurants and would love to have it on the existing hardware.

Not sure what you are asking?

Do you have Micros UWS4 workstations?
Do you want to load Aloha POS software on the UWS4's?

If yes to these two ?'s, I wish you luck. I believe Micros has a few proprietary hooks in the UWS4 hardware platform.
Historically, Micros hasn't made it easy for end-users to change their mind. Be aware of the pitfalls that await down the road if your POS dealer is successful loading his or her software on the Micros UWS4.

TO answer your questions, I am currently looking at a site with WS4's. I have talked with our local Aloha reseller and have learned they have not been able to load on these machines. Due to the proprietary nature of Micros, this doesnt suprise me a bit.

A local Positouch dealer is saying that they can support and load the latest version on Posi on the WS4's. My next step will be to see this happen I guess.
