Float problem

I want the search menu to have a top for 140px.
The same height as the Items menu.
I tried to set a position: absolute; top: 5px; to the div.search, and then set the div.menu to Float;top

But it doesn't work for me.

So you want an additional 5px between the header and the search box? How about adding [tt]margin-top: 5px;[/tt] to the search box? Incidentally, it is better to go to W3 website (or even W3Schools for that matter) and check on what float property can accept as values than just put some values you like and expect them to work -- [tt]top;[/tt] is not a valid value for float.

Thanks for the help VragaBond-
I added margin-top: 15px; and it worked perfect.
