Flexibility quit on a client

Things were running fine, until the user logged in the next day. She couldn't run any of the mods I made using flexibility. Looking at it it shows the flex button greyed out on the macola screens. So, I install flex again and it says 'btreieve not loaded' so I then install the psql client. Running macola again flex still doesn't work. Going in the help->about screen shows that it is installed.

I tried running setup from the macola\install director and gives me an access denied on ikernel.exe Security settings show this file to have access to everyone.

Add/Remove doesn't show Macola installation. I'm running 7.5.103e Progression. This has my confused. Of course the user said she didn't install any other software, etc.. Running anti-spyware came up clean. Anyone have this kinda problem before? All other clients are working fine.

Did the user's Macola sign on name change?

No.. Even when I sign on with the supervisor username it still won't let me access flexibility.

Check the Macola7.ini to make sure that VBA-OFF=NO.

Yep.. did that.. It's set as VBA-Off=NO Still having the problem.

I would strip Macola off the PC by doing the following.

* Delete the file c:\windows\macola7.ini
* Delete the folder c:\program files\common files\macola shared
* Delete the registry key hkey_local_machine\software\macola

Reboot the computer and then reinstall Macola and flexibility

I got it fixed. I had to run the dcomcnfg.exe program and inside that, goto my computer properties. I then had to set the security for the dcom to allow 'everyone' to have access.

Weird that it changed like that. I reinstalled macola and it's working fine now. Thanks!
