I am interested to find out about solutions used to create an "archive" of client files (eg interface files) as a sub-directory in the Mincom structure. This should NOT be purged automatically by MIMS(msclean) or the file system, it should be read-only and should be preserved when MIMS is upgraded (ie not to be overwritten or lost).
Would mims_sys_t/local be the right place?

As long as you don't use the directories that are 'mscleaned', work, log and oldrpt you should be O.K.

You can create sub-directories under any of these and they won't be purged.
