flat CTabCtrl ???

Hi,
is there a way to make a CTabCrl flat ???

actually i'm trying to make an owner drawn tab, I derived a classed from CTabCtrl , I changed the background color control (by overriding OnEraseBackground in my new class) as well as individual tabs (by overrriding OnDrawItem) , however the 3D effect is spoiling it all, how can I get rid of it?
