Hello there

please forgive this newbie for asking what appears to be a simple problem!

i am the admin of an sx2000 system. i have created a load of a extensions and created voice mailboxes for each one. the model of the phone is a Mitel Superset 4015.

the problem i am having is that when someone leaves a message on any of these extensions, the message light does not flash to let them know! i've seen it before and i'm sure it is just a little setting somewhere!

can someone please shed some light on this to put me out of my misery!

thank yuo in advance

Shaun

Are you talking voicemail message or just pressing the message key?

If voicemail, what type and intergration?

Hi

i am talking voicemail. the sx2000 is connected to the MitelMail system. users then dial a number to get to their personal voicemail box.

normally when a message has been left on the voicemail the red light on the actual phone will flash to indicate this. for these phones, it isn't flashing.

thanks very much for the reply

Well if your class of services are the same as a working set on the 2k you can look at the voicmeail. You have to set a message waiting type in each mailbox. Check the message waiting type for a mailbox that works and then set the same for these mailboxes. See if that fixes your problem.

the COS are all the same and after investigation it does apear to be that the Message Waiting type is different on a working one and a none working one. on the working one the type is 'DTMF to PBX'. when i try to type that in to a non-working one the system says it's invalid.

is there an alternative code i have to put in that would mean the same?

thanks for yuor help guys

You need to set the MWI type in the MitelMail by number, not name. If I remember correctly (it's been a couple months since I looked at a MM system), DTMF to PBX is option #3.

Lundah, you are correct! it was number 3 that i needed.

mitelman and kwbmitel, thank you for your help

all sorted.
