Hi, I have a problem with flashcopy (establish) not working on a LUN. It turn out that on another host I got the following on that LUN:

root@nisa-ix-db-rdm-01-m:/# lquerypr -Vh /dev/vpath3
open device /dev/vpath3
setkey.compcode = 0
setkey.returncode = 1
55b23a02
Reserved with different key 55b23a02, current host key 0401CB4A
root@nisa-ix-db-rdm-01-m:/#
root@nisa-ix-db-rdm-01-m:/# lquerypr -Vrh /dev/vpath3
open device /dev/vpath3
setkey.compcode = 1
setkey.returncode = 2

Can anyone shed some light on what this might mean? The Internet isn't much help.

Thanks

If the disk was not properly removed from the original system then it will leave a persistant disk lock. Run "lquery -pr /dev/vpathx" on the vpath device to remove this so long as no other system is using the lun.
