Flash4, asp and SQL on NT, problems on Mac using IE 5

hi all,
just went live with this site (

it works great on PC using IE 5+ and NS 4.x and on the Mac if using NS 4.x(not 6!). Any idea why it wouldn't work on the Mac using IE5?

I have been working on a client project that also works fine on the PC but not on the MAC. I am using Flash with ASP. I was on to Macromedia, with loads of sample movies to test, for around four weeks before they would acknowledge that a problem exists with the MAC flash player and the way it uses Loadvariables and GetURL. Apparently there is a problem with the MAC architecture and the way it works with IE and is not a problem that can be easily resolved....we have to wait for the next version of Flash.

If this causes anybody problems I suggest you get onto Macromedia; the more of us who say there is a problem may make them try and fix it.

Veggy, that thread you answered was almost a year old!

Flash is pretty stable on any machine & with different browsers, so maybe some criticism should also be handed down to Apple and not only to Macromedia.
