Flash4 and mp3 sound files

I'm using Flash 4 and have an mp3 file I need to use. I can I successfully import it?

I have a wav file, but it is too large. If there is no way to convert and import the mp3, is there some way to splice the wav file? I am currently using Windows Media player to play my wav files.

I appreciate any insight!

You can not import an mp3 into Flash 4. You can however, import a .wav. When you export the movie though, Flash will give the .wav .mp3 compression.
