I have a requirement to provide both Flash and Gif animations to the web publisher of the web ads I am creating. Flash is nice and smooth, and from what I've seen, Gif can't compare. My Flash file size can't be more than 30k, and the gif at 75k. My Flash is 19k and looks great..what would be the best way to replicate the same quality in a gif animation using Image Ready? Will I have to resort to just crossfading a couple of stills and forget about making the ad real cool? Thanks

Animated gif's do have their limitations but are good for basic small moving things. Large animated gif's are a problem but a compromise can be reached by limiting the number of colours and/or number of frames.
Flash files tend to be smaller because the frame control is handled by the Flash plug-in. The problem there, has always been, if Flash isn't installed the animation doesn't work and all your hard work is wasted.

Thanks, I guess limiting the amount of frames and/or colors is key. Thanks Dennis
