Hi All,

Need help if anyone knows the answer.

I am working in Flash 5. I HAVE to for this project. My issue is that I have created a volume slider control within a flash movie that controls the volume on a QT.mov. My final file format will be .mov.

The slider works in flash but when I publish the final file as a .mov. The slider just starts to drag all over the screen and doesn't adhere to the x,y coordinates its been given in Flash.

Has anyone else faced this issue and/or has anyone found a solution?

Thanks all.

Might not be your case... But seems QT export only supports some Flash actionscript! Regards,

The available features of Flash in the Flash track vary, depending on which version of QuickTime is installed on the authoring machine:
Macromedia Flash MX - See the Macromedia Flash MX documentation for details on importing video into Flash MX and playing back in Macromedia Flash Player 6.

Flash MX also imports QuickTime 5 movies (or earlier) for export as QuickTime 5 containing a Flash 4 SWF track. In this situation, the ActionScript is limited to the capabilities of a Flash 4 SWF, which is also true when using Flash 5 for this process.

Macromedia Flash 5 - Imports QuickTime 5 movies or earlier. Exports QuickTime 5 containing a Flash 4 SWF track. ActionScript limited to the capabilities of a Flash 4 SWF

Note: Apple has announced that the next version of QuickTime (version 6) will support Flash 5 SWF tracks and Flash 5 ActionScript.

Macromedia Flash 4 - Imports QuickTime 4 movies. Exports QuickTime 4 containing a Flash 3 SWF track. ActionScript limited to the capabilities of a Flash 3 SWF.

Remember that if you are authoring in Flash for QuickTime 5, the end users will also have to have QuickTime 5 installed in order to see the Flash features.
