flash voicemail light

I have a flash vm that someone installed vml s/w on by mistake. In the past I have been able to short the capacitor on the board and this removes the vml. We have left this one shorted and the voltage is o on cap but when I put new 2.1 sw in it still comes up vml. Any one else had this problem.

shorting a lite will not make it a standard voicemail (not that shorting is recommended)
use a keycode to upgrade

The software is on the flash card. WE put a different card with VM 2.0 s/w. Does that mean that if it ever goes VML it will stay that way.

Without a keycode the Flash will remain a Lite no matter what software is installed. You could go back to V1.7 or lower, but that would probably not be compatible with your KSU.
