I am producing a set of web pages for a local school. The problem is my University has flash 5 and the school only has flash 3. When a movie which I have produced at the University is played at the school there is a long pause and then a message pops up asking if I would like to load flash 5 - unfortunately the school does not have the licence for flash 5, then when I answer no the movie is played as normal. I would like to know if there is anyway around this problem which does not necessitate the school aquiring version 5.
Thanks

It sounds like your just VIEWING the flash 5 compile, right?...if so, press yes...all it will do is upgrade the player for it, which shouldn't require any lisencing or anything, it doesn't upgrade the authoring software.

Oh, and downloading version 5 player doesn't require admin access I believe...it should just be a short download.

Alternativley just publish your movies as Flash version 3; go to File/Publish Settings/Flash and then set the version you want to publish at the bottom.

To be honest though, I agree with WhiteTiger. It's prob. better just to upgrade the viewer (unless the school want to edit your movies afterwards, in which case do what I said earlier!).
