is it possible to make an item on the taskbar flash from a browser? [sig][/sig]

Well, I assume you would be wanting one of your own custom apps to flash. If not, the answer is no. If it is a custom app then the answer is; yes (if you use an ActiveX control) and maybe (if you use WSH). WSH might be able to be done by writing a personal key/value to the registry which your custom app would watch and flash if it found the correct value. The WSH script would probably pop up a browser security warning (if it works at all). ActiveX would be a better solution (but of course would require a one-time install).

Hope this helps, [sig]
Rob
robschultz@yahoo.com
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
