I have a USB1 256mb Flash pen, a fairly cheap branded product but works well on my XPpro Desktop all the same.
Thing is I just brought a Toshiba Satalite Laptop running W98 and I've just realized the flash pen won't work without drivers on that OS (the pen didn't come with any)
The box has long since gone and there is no indication of the make on the pen.
I managed to download some drivers off the PNY website for a similar USB1 product, only thing is even on their site they have several differant drivers for USB flash pens.
Is there such thing as a generic W98/W98SE driver for USB1 pens? if so where can I download it from?
I don't really want to force one of these drivers on the laptop unless I know it's gonna work.

Yes unfortunately it does need a driver, I have seen many flash drives advertised that don't but as many that do, some actually stating that they come with W98 driver disc.
I think your link relates generally to USB devices under certain hardware configurations, the USB port works just fine with other things connected just not this pen.
Any more help would be greatfully appreciated.
