Thanks for the links! I just set up Flash/PHP/MySQL
with Apache on my WinXP Pro box for testing and
used 2 books (PHP For Flash & Server Side Flash).

The chapter 1 tutorial in PHP for Flash worked after
I changed the php.ini to "register_globals = on"
and declared variables on the 1 frame of the download registration form (MC) in the register.fla

location= ""

(I was able to get the necessary debug info at the message board at

The book seems to be the best resource for putting it all
together, and Steve's working on a new version.
