flash movie resizing

I want a flash movie as the title of a webpage and i want it to go all the way across the top and maintain a proportionate height, but when the browser window is resized the horizontal scaling stays the same but the vertical distorts. More specifically, when the browser is smaller than the movie default size, it moves down from the top and you can see all the extra "work space" of the flash movie. How can i avoid this or change it?
