hi folks,

what I am dealing with currently is that I would like to create a menu quite similar to the one on this website:
the only difference to what I'd like to have is, that I want it to move according to the position of the mouse.

now here are my questions:
how can it be done that objects moving to the background really appear behind other buttons and do not overlap those that are currently in the foreground. if I animated them on seperate layers those appearing on top would always stay on top, right? how can they disappear behind others?

secondly I'd like to know how I can make them move according to the mouse position. maybe something similar to the movements of the menu on wangbars website , except that I would not want them to be so to say on one geometrical layer.

I hope I was able to formulate clearly what I am looking for. If I unfortunately couldn't explain my thought so that you see a clear image of it please don't hesitate to say so.

thanks in advance for your help!

dont know if this helps or not

just throws the menu in a sort of circle and gives the appearence of depth but playing with the scale of the clips

only a few lines of actionscript so very easy to adapt

if its any help ill put up the fla for you to download

the second one looks great! can it be done that the axis of the movement is skew and that the buttons in front cover semitransparently those at the back? but that second one is pretty groovy. i'd love to have the fla and would really appreciate if you could give the last idea a try! thanks a lot!! [thumbsup]
